My Son is Cooler than Me

Was there really ever any doubt? Our little man rocks the shades like a champ and outclasses his daddy.

Double Indemnity on Blu-Ray

Isn't she beautiful? Still trying to figure out if I can justify or afford paying the 12£ ($19.00) and the 3£ ($4.70) shipping from the UK.

Artists I'm Liking: Leo Villareal

We spent part of last week down in beautiful Savannah, GA. On Wednesday we spent the morning looking to the past as we did a walking tour with 'Savannah Dan', and on Thursday we looked to the future. That morning we went to The Jepson Museum where one of the exhibits featured Leo Villareal, a visual artist who uses led lights and computer programming to create his pieces. The works are not static but instead continously move from beginning to 'end'. They create a story. We the viewer are forced to watch and see where it goes. Besides telling a 'story' while I watched them I was attracted by their beauty. Similar to works by Van Gogh or Monet, they are aesthetically pleasing. At times I didn't want to look away.

So, is the work of Villareal representative of the future of art? Will the artist need to be proficient with technology and computers instead of the brush? Only time will tell.

This video is a great introduction to Villareal.

Total Recall 1990 vs. 2012

Here's a look at both the 1990 and the 2012 versions of Total Recall. I'm pretty sure the remake won't be as funny as the original. Where's Arnold when you need him?
